12-10-08 Budget meeting discussion :

Hunter Soccer wants to take the equipment shed  by the Pembryn pool fields and turn it into a full-fledged Clubhouse . The cost will be approximately $450,000 ( which does not include the cost of the land - so the property value will be well over 1/2 million  when done)   The club  will maintain it (though earlier they asked for funds, I believe,  for the person  scheduled to do that)  and the property will be owned by Abington Township & use will revert to the Township if Hunter no longer needs or uses it .  In addition, bathrooms and a paved area can be used by the township  for their other programs .

The soccer club has raised 105,000 to date ( and may have another 5,000 in interest on that money ). They are asking for the township to chip in approximately 95,000  to upgrade electric etc - ( a certain amount of this would  have to be paid anyway  and they obtained two grants from state funds (you might be reminded that these funds also come from you from the taxes you pay to the state).
