Summerford

This is the property that lies on the corner of Fox Chase Rd and Forrest Ave  right opposite Alverthorpe Park and between Alverthorpe and Manor College.  The acreage  ( 5? ) was originally bought by a company that could not accomplish what it wanted to on the property . Abington has acquired it ( for 2 million ??  will check on this )  with Open Space with  funds that include those from the County Grant program .  Ball fields are intended for part of the property  and since the trees that need to remain can be located throughout the property, this looks like it will be possible and is accepted in Open Space use .  More details when we get them .
