Re-writes Township Wide
Zoning re-write meetings are being held now - Is your area
included ?
Next rewrite scheduled for Sept 3rd at 5:30 pm at the
Township Building - check with your Commissioner or the township
to see if this is still correct.

May 27th was the 3rd one - next
June 24th ( This was cancelled as was the Planning Commission
Meeting following it ) - next is July 22 - Aug 26 etc

What it is about?
In 2007, a Comprehensive Plan update was completed & approved
for Abington Township.
In conjunction with that and in conjunction with other
development issues on-going in the township, your Commissioners
and others are re-writing zoning codes in some areas of the
township.
6-08 We have not yet gotten word of what changes exactly are
being done but we will try to update you when we know.
Knowing about these changes is an important part in having
a voice in preserving the things we love about our township.
If you and your neighbors are unaware of what changes might
affect your ward, call your
Commissioner
to find out ---- and then
let us know, too,
please so we can update others. You can point your
neighbors here to learn & share more.
